Find out the following in the electric circuit given in Figure 12.9
(c) Potential difference across 4 Ω resistance

Solution:

The potential difference across 4 \Omega resistor is potential drop by the 4 \Omega resistor.
V=I R=1 \times 4=4 V
The power dissipated in 4 \Omega resistor

    \[P=I^{2} R=1^{2} \times 4=4 W\]
