Plant hormones are like the scrutinizers that keep a check upon the stress condition through which the plants go through. the major group of hormones found in the plants is-

  1. Auxin
  2. Cytokinin
  3. Gibberellin
  4. Abscisic acid

5. Ethylene

These hormones work even if present in a very feeble amount. The hormone facilitates the proper functioning of the plants its flowering, senescence, fruiting, and even germination.Few functions include-

  1. apical dominance
  2. enlarged fruit size
  3. germination of seeds
  4. breaking dormancy
  5. cell division
  6. bolting removal
