How does the resistance of a metallic wire depend on its temperature? Explain with reason.

The random motion of electrons increases as the temperature of a conductor rises. As a result, the number of collisions between electrons and positive ions increases. When a result, as the temperature of a conductor rises, so does its resistance.

When a bulb is glowing, or when it is at a high temperature, the resistance of the filament is higher than when it is not blazing, or when it is cold.
