What precaution should be taken during the preparation of hydrochloric acid?

The following are the precautions to be taken while preparing the hydrochloric acid:

1. Protective gloves and a apron which is chemical resistant must be  worn.

2. The delivery tube and the lower edge of the thistle must be dipped into a drying agent like the concentrated sulphuric acid.

3. The temperature must be kept at about 200^oC.
