Mention one difference between the reflection of light from a plane mirror and total internal reflection of light from a prism.

Solution:

In total internal reflection of light from a prism, all of the incident light is reflected back into the denser medium. Whereas in conventional reflection from a plane mirror, only a portion of the light is returned. while the remainder is refracted and absorbed, and therefore the reflection is partial.
