Give a brief account of mechanism of vision.

The Mechanism of Vision:

The passage of light rays is as follows – the pupil, lens, aqueous humour, vitreous humor and finally retina.

This light causes the separation of photo-pigment rhodopsin in retinal and opsin.

The structure of the opsin undergoes changes due to the separation of the opsin from the retinal which activates the force of action on the cones and retinal rods.

In addition, the force of action is transferred to ganglion cells via bipolar neurons and is eventually transferred to the cerebral cortex of the brain via the optic nerve.

Emotional analysis occurs in the cerebral cortex; responses are retrieved to create images on the retina.
