10. Explain briefly the relationship between poverty and population and how one affects the other.

Solution:-

The majority of our society’s rural population is still illiterate, uninformed, and believes in superstitions. They also have little understanding of how the human reproductive system works. Children are viewed as a gift from God and a symbol of success among those from lower social strata. As a result, they make no attempt to avoid becoming pregnant. Because of our country’s high infant mortality rate, people from the lower socioeconomic strata believe it is safer to have more children so that at least some of them will live. Poverty and a low standard of living offer no alternatives to sex as a kind of entertainment. As a result, both the population and poverty continue to rise. As the population increases the quality of life goes down.
