Explain clearly how conc. H₂SO₄ is used as a dehydrating as well as a drying agent.

The concentrated Sulfuric acid (H₂SO₄) is hygroscopic in nature and can remove moisture from some substances, so it is used as a drying agent. Also, it can be used as a dehydration agent due to its very strong affinity with water which is why it absorbs water quickly from chemicals.
