Give two examples of turgor movements in plants.
Give two examples of turgor movements in plants.

1. Mimosa pudica is a prime example of the turgor movement. The rapid fall of the leaves of sensitive plants. When one of the leaves is touched, even slightly so, the leaflets are rolled back and within 2 to 3 seconds, the entire leaf falls to the ground. When a leaf is touched in a certain way, a rolling and hanging wave spreads from the renewed leaf to all the surrounding leaves.

2. Such turgor movements are found in insect-eating plants with nearby leaves to catch live prey. The movement of certain flower petals to the sun and the sleep movement of the leaves of certain plants at night are also due to the movement of turgor.
