(I) As,

    \[P\text{ }\left( 5,\text{ }-2 \right)\text{ }=\text{ }reflection\text{ }of\text{ }P\text{ }\left( a,\text{ }b \right)\text{ }in\text{ }x-axis.\]

Henceforth, the co-ordinates of

    \[P\]

are

    \[\left( 5,\text{ }2 \right).\]

In this manner,

    \[a\text{ }=\text{ }5\text{ }and\text{ }b\text{ }=\text{ }2.\]
