Solution:

The right-hand thumb rule determines the direction of the magnetic field surrounding a current-carrying wire. It claims that if we hold the current-carrying conductor in our right hand with the thumb pointing in the direction of current flow. Then, the fingers will encircle the wire in the direction of magnetic field lines.
