The diameter of a wheel is 1 $.4m$ . How many revolutions does wheel make when it covers a distance of distance $2.2kms$ ?

Solutions:-

According to given question-

Wheel Diameter $=1.4m$

Radius = Half of the diameter of circle

$r=d/2$

$r=1.4/2$

$r=0.7m$

Circumference of circle $=2\pi r$

$=2\times 22/7\times 0.7$

$=4.4m$

Distance travelled by wheel $=2.2km$

& $1km=1000m$

So, $2.2km=2.2\times 1000$

$=2,200m$

Number of revolutions = Distance travelled/Circumference

$=2,200/4.4$

$=500$

Hence, wheel makes 500 revolutions when it covers a distance of $2.2km$ .
