The rate of sales tax $7%$

Let, the basic price of Nike shoes be $y$

So, total price of the Shoes = ₹ $\left[ y+\left( \left( y\times 7 \right)/100 \right) \right]$

$=107y/100$

$107y/100=$ ₹ $1,572.90$ ,

$107y=1,572.90\times 100$

$107y=1,57,290$

$y=1,57,290/107$
