Chromosomal disorders are increase or decrease in the number of chromosomal numbers which results in the birth defects that are heritable from one generation to the other generation.

  1. Down syndrome –

It is caused due to the extra copy of chromosome number 21.

The person suffering from this syndrome shows following symptoms: –

  • Retarded mental development
  • Heart problems
  • Distinct facial appearances

 

  1. Klinefelter’s syndrome: –

The person born with extra copy of X chromosome.

Symptoms: –

  • Low testosterone
  • Decreased muscle mass.
  • Turner syndrome: –

The patient has only one set of X chromosome and it manly affects the girls and women.

Symptoms: –

  • Short stature and delayed puberty.
