37. Why are the Arabari forests of Bengal known to be a good example of conserved forest

Solution – the arabari forests are the best example of the conserved forest. This has happened because of the involvement of the forest department. The forest department included the localities to help them to conserve the forest. In return for the labor done by them, they were paid by the department, and also other benefits were given to them at very nominal charges. They were allowed to take the wood and fodder by paying a negligible amount. in this way, the locals participated and it benefitted all of them. People got work and other things and forests were conserved also.
