Write the order and degree (if defined) of each of the following equations.

Solution:

y=\frac{dy}{dx}+\frac{5}{\left( \frac{dy}{dx} \right)}

On rearranging –

y*\frac{dy}{dx}={{\left( \frac{dy}{dx} \right)}^{2}}+5

Order\;=\;2 (represents the order of the top-most derivative involved
in the equation derivative involved in the equation)
Degree\;=\;1 (degree is the highest power to which a derivative is
raised)
