Construct a triangle of sides 4cm, 5cm and 6cm and then a triangle similar to it whose sides are (2/3) of the corresponding sides of it.

Steps of construction:

1. Make a line segment BC=5cm.

2. Assuming center as B and radius 4cm and with center C and radius 6cm, make arcs from both points to intersect each other at A.

3. Then, join AB and AC. So,  ABC is the triangle.

4. Construct a ray BX making an acute angle with BC and cut off 3 equal parts makingB{{B}_{1}}={{B}_{1}}{{B}_{2}}={{B}_{2}}{{B}_{3}}.

5. Join {{B}_{3}}C

6. Construct {{B}_{2}}C' parallel to {{B}_{3}}C and C’A’ parallel to CA.

Then, \vartriangle A'BC' is the required triangle.
