Describe the carbon cycle in an Ecosystem.

The carbon cycle is the exchange of carbon compounds between the earth’s biosphere, geosphere, pedosphere, hydrosphere, and atmosphere.
The primary steps in the carbon cycle are as follows:
1.Plants absorb carbon from the atmosphere in order to perform photosynthesis.
2.These plants are then devoured by animals, resulting in carbon bioaccumulation in their bodies.
3.When these creatures and plants die, carbon is released back into the atmosphere as they decompose.
4.Fossil fuels are created from carbon that is not released back into the environment.
5.Man-made activities utilise these fossil fuels, which releases more carbon into the atmosphere.
