Natural rubber is beneficial but also has drawbacks.

The disadvantages of natural rubber are as  follows:

1. Natural rubber is sticky and soft at room temperature. At higher temperatures, above 335 K, it becomes even softer. Low temperatures, less than 283K, cause it to become brittle. As a result, natural rubber can only be utilised to keep its elasticity between 283 K and 335 K.
2. Natural rubber can absorb a lot of water.
3. Natural rubber has a low abrasion resistance and tensile strength.
4. Non-polar solvents dissolve natural rubber.
5. Oxidizing chemicals have a hard time attacking natural rubber.
