The bio degradable waste decomposes with the help of microorganisms into simple materials that can be used by manufacturers as raw materials. But the following are the consequences on the environment; since the decaying of waste products is slow, it gives off a foul odor and can be harmful if inhaled. Disposal sites can be places where harmful substances can begin to reproduce which can be harmful to humans, plants and animals. An increase in the number of aquatic organisms can lead to depletion of oxygen.
If all the waste we generate is biodegradable, will this have no impact on the environment?
