What is the chemical nature of biogas? Name an organism which is involved in biogas production?

Solution:

Biogas is made up of three different gases. Methane (C{{H}_{3}}) makes up roughly 60-70 percent of the overall volume, carbon dioxide (C{{O}_{2}}) makes up about 30-40 percent, and hydrogen sulfide makes up about 0.1 percent. The organisms involved in biogas production are known as methanogens.
