So, to ensure that all the prerequisites are covered for the new session, CBSE has released the class XII Maths syllabus in the two terms – term 1 and term 2. The tabular format of the syllabus covers the marks distribution in theory and internal assessments of 2021-2022 for terms 1 and 2.

In the term 1 CBSE class XII maths syllabus, you will have to attempt a theory paper of 40 marks and an internal assessment of 10 marks. Also, there will be no chapter-wise weightage for the 2021-2022 session in terms one and two theory papers.

Summary of Theory Syllabus (Term 1)

The theory paper of term 1 will comprise questions from the four units. It will cover relations and functions, inverse trigonometric functions, matrices, determinants, continuity and differentiability, applications of derivatives, and linear programming. The duration of the theory paper is 90 minutes.

Summary of Practical Syllabus (Term 1)

The internal assessment will comprise a periodic test and a set of Mathematical activities of 5 marks each.

Periodic Test for Term 1

The subject teacher will conduct three tests of pen and paper mode during term 1. The test will contain a balanced mix of the set of question types. The question type will be Very Short Answer (VSA), Short Answer (SA), and Long Answer (LA).

Mathematic Activities for Term 1

In the Mathematic activities section, you will have to :

  • Perform and maintain an activity file record of Maths Lab activities for term 1
  • Attempt an activity and will be followed by a viva-voce in the term 1 assessment.
