Solve the following two variable Linear equation 0.4A+0.3B=1.7 0.7A-0.2B=0.8
Solve the following two variable Linear equation 0.4A+0.3B=1.7 0.7A-0.2B=0.8

The given pair of equations are:

0.4A+0.3B=1.7

0.7A-0.2B=0.8

Let’s, multiply LHS and RHS by 10 to make the coefficients as an integer

4A+3B=17 ……………………….. (i)

7A-2B=8 …………………………… (ii)

From (ii)

7A-2B=8

A=(8+2B)/7……………………………… (iii)

Now, substituting A in equation (i) we get,

4[(8+2B)/7]+3B=17

32+8B+21B=(17A7)

29B=87

B=3

Now, putting the value of B in the equation (iii) we get,

A=(8+2(3))/ 7

A=14/7

A=2

Thus, the value of A and B is found to be 2 and 3 respectively.
