Solve the following two variable Linear equation A/2+B=0.8, 7/(A+B/2)=10
Solve the following two variable Linear equation A/2+B=0.8, 7/(A+B/2)=10

The given pair of equations are:

A/2+B=0.8⇒A+2B=1.6…… (a)

7/(A+B/2)=10⇒7=10(A+B/2)⇒7=10A+5B

Let’s, multiply LHS and RHS of equation (a) by 10 for easy calculation

So, we finally get

10A+20B=16 ……………………….. (i) And,

10A+5B=7 …………………………… (ii)

Now, subtracting two equations we get,

(i)-(ii)

15B=9

B=3/5

Next, putting the value of B in the equation (i) we get,

A = [16 - 20(3/5)]/10

⇒  (16-12)/10=4/10

A=2/5

Thus, the value of A and B obtained are 2/5 and 3/5 respectively.
