A 44 mH inductor is connected to 220 V, 50 Hz ac supply. Determine the rms value of the current in the circuit.

As per given :

The inductor connected to the given AC supply has an inductance L=44mH=44\times {{10}^{-3}}H

The magnitude of the source voltage V is considered to be 220V

The frequency of the source as given is  V=50Hz

The angular frequency of the source  is given as \omega =2\prod v

The Inductive reactance X L can be calculated as given below:

I=\frac{V}{{{X}_{L}}}=\frac{220}{2\prod \times 50\times 44\times {{10}^{-3}}}=15.92A

Therefore, the RMS value of the current in the network is considered to be 15.92A .
