Theory Syllabus of CBSE Chemistry Class 9

The ongoing pandemic has brought in a lot of uncertainty, which has forced us to close the schools. The academic year 2021-22 has begun through online classes. Considering the difficulty in transacting the topics and conducting assessments / practical exams, the CBSE has come up with some changes in the syllabus.

CBSE has divided the academic session into 2 Terms with roughly 50% syllabus in each term. The board has issued guidelines to the schools for undertaking practical/ internal assessment and project work.

Chemistry is one of the disciplines of Science and has about 33% weightage in Science. With meticulous planning and practice, students can ace the subject and score full marks in Chemistry, which will increase their overall score in Science.

  • Internal assessments count to 20 marks for the academic year, divided as 10 marks per term.
